With less then 1 week away from major surgery, J is doing fantastic. We have found that he's really not a morning person, but seriously...what teenager/adult is. I've been told by his teachers and those working with him that he has been a lot of fun and it's only Wednesday. No, he knows nothing about what will happen next week. I'm sure J will feel the stress and worried level his family will have by Sunday.
He still complains a little about his stomach, but eats normal and always wants more.
Where it goes...yah...that will be interesting.
So the plan is to call the hospital on Friday and get instructions on what will happen...meds...etc.
Saturday begin his yummy liquid diet and continue it through Sunday
(the surgeon wanted an extra day to try and clean him out)
Then hopefully the weather will be good to drive in on Monday when he will be checked in at 6:30 a.m.
The surgery will take 3 hours and won't officially start until 7:30ish...that is if they can get him under.
It will be interesting to say the least, but updates will be posted.
