So, yesterday didn't go quiet as well as I had hoped. We were up at the U for about 2 1/2 hours and the results where hardly good.
A resident came in and asked a bunch of questions, why we were there, anything different then the Dec. appointment, any pains...concerns...you know the routine questions.
Then we told of our "concerns" and who had sent us back to this doctor.
We were left in the room while the resident talked to the "real" doctor.
We waited, and waited.
The doctor came in and basically said there is nothing he can do.
The sores on J's stomach are the stitches that were suppose to dissolve but didn't and are now making their way to the surface...it's normal...we were told.
He reminded us of the choice we made of not going with the "bag" and taking a risk that J's bum wouldn't relax enough to let the BM's out.
GREAT!
The doctor believed we made the correct choice at the time, but there was always that possibility the surgery wouldn't work.
WHAT?
Because J is also throwing up ever so often when BM's are working, it's a small intestine problem
So back to a different GI doctor to have a scope down and monitor the laxatives J will be put back on to eliminate this problem.
With how severe J's "chronic inertia" was, it could have effected the small intestine to where the small intestine doesn't work any more.
GREAT!
At this point there is nothing any one can do...you need your small intestine.
So, somewhere our there, somebody knows of some type of pill that is easy to dissolve and break up food.

*Big Sigh* I can't imagine the frustration you must be feeling. There's got to be a solution out there somewhere right?? We'll keep praying that you find it!
Im sure you have tried everyting, but miralax works great and is tastless, but may not be strong enough. Senna tea also works really really well but for me it definately causes cramping (but works). Large abounts of warm salt water (small amounts of salt). Maybe all three at once in josh's case:) I hope you can find help. You are in our prayers.
Josh use to be on Miralax and has a resistance to now. He is already on over 4 senna's a day. We give him a little golytely which is what they give you before before surgery. Thanks for the suggestions, but we've literally tried the "normal" methods. If you come up with any other ideas please, let me know. :)
