J began throwing up pretty good from 9:00 p.m. on! His temp went way down and about freaked the crud out of me. We called a niece to see what she thought and then called the hospital. We were to watch him and make sure he was breathing (duh) and he had a pulse (double duh) and that his temp didn't go up to high. WHAT?!!!!
He finally fell asleep as did we, but we were awaken by J saying he needed a change. Never a good thing. We found out that while we were sleeping J had thrown up and that "things" had started to leak! NOT GOOD! Knowing that we had a nurse coming by at around 7:30 or 8:00 to help change "it". So Dad took the room while I took J to clean him up. I got the good ole handbook out and tried to follow it with very shaky hands! Showered him and put things back together. WHEW!
He was still not keeping things down when the nurse arrived. But vitals were good, he had a low grade temp and my "work" let's just say she was amazed! One down...many to go. And told us over and over again at how impressed she was at the care we gave to J and how kind we were. Really, how else would we be.?
As of 9:00 this morning, J has been able to finally keep things down. Gatorade and yogurt...and a couple of VERY tiny bits of chocolate...that his Mom was eating (I mean really, I deserved it!)
Lets hope tomorrow is a step forward...we did soooo much laundry, we need a break!!!
