Our Heavenly Father has truly been there for us and J as well as blessed us. J's recover is going remarkably well and the doctors are amazed at how quick his has been able to recover.
Thursday night they removed all but 1 IV (that would be 4 IV's) his nose tube and breathing tube, plus the unthinkable tube. He did have some problems breathing, but they were able to stabilize him with a mask and oxygen blowing 100% on him. J doesn't like this so it's a good thing they still have him in restraints.
Then during Thursday night, they had to put a tube down his nose 2x to clean out all the crap J was choking on and suction out his mouth. He did not like this one bit.
Friday they kept decreasing the amount of oxygen to see if J could hold his own. When I left in the evening J was holding his own at 45 percent oxygen.
His kidneys have been great. All other organs that were effect are healing. The infection in his lungs, they are treating pretty forcefully. They found E-coli in a sample they took from his breathing tube. Weird, since it came from his lungs and not his intestines. But again we are talking about J.
Around midnight, his dad text me and said we were being moved out of ICU and into a normal room. Blessing from Heaven above!
Then this morning his dad said, J has awoken and is talking a mile a minute. The doctors and nurses have even mentioned the "going home" word. We didn't expect that until next weekend. But it could be as early as Monday.
What tender mercies we have been given.
We are truly blessed and grateful that J is still with us.

Tender Mercies, Indeed!!!! So happy. I have been so worried. Your family is in our prayers. Tell J I'm so proud of him for being such a fighter (seriously - no pun intended).
See you soon, Sandy
