After hearing of what they are going to do to J-man and the risks. And because he is the 1 in 100 that will get any and all infections or side effects, the surgeon decided to have some lab work done to see if J had enough protein to be able to fight any infection that might happen.
Since getting the results could take up to 24 hours, the surgeon sent us home. He will review the count tomorrow and then there is a 95% chance of J will be getting a pic line to help feed him protein for the next 2 weeks. That's if the stoma stays above ground and opened. So, surgery will be in approx. 2 weeks unless we have no output.
I'm just glad this surgeon has J's best interest and health and wants to give him a fighting chance.
