Our Gentle Giant

Wednesday we met our new doctor. I think Josh scared her with all the medicine or maybe overwhelmed her. The verdict is still out and will be for a while. We realize it's going to be hard to replace the doctor that has helped us through abuse from district employees and transitioning through coctails of medicine. We were concerned with Josh's lost of appetite and forgetfulness of swallowing. The doctor and Dad and I both think it's meds related, but it's just hard to see your child in this state of condition. He has lost over 30 pounds in 1 month. Not good. I knew some of the medicine were appetite increasers, but this is stupid! We are going to have blood work done in 2 weeks to see if there isn't something else wrong. The new doctor did do the regular check-up items and everything seems fine...but it's NOT! Then to try and find a place where our new insurance accepts to fill medicine...try not to panic there. Oh wait, I've been through his tantrums and don't really want to attempt it again. Thankfully Target is going to try and work something out. They have his bedtime one and can get his new daytime one on Monday. So we get to pick; Saturday, Sunday or Monday to only give him 1/2 of his new medicines. Hmmmm....We decided to go for Saturday since it won't break the pattern of medicine to much. That way Sunday on he'll be back on normal doses. Who needs a peaceful Saturday?
