A New Smile

Josh survived his oral surgery without any trouble. Are we blessed our what? The dentist was amazing as were all those that took wonderful care of Josh. He was out completely and I had told the nurses/doctors that as long as when he started to wake up he had all his belongings in his hands, on his head, glasses on...he'd be fine. No fits! It worked! They said they have never seen someone like Josh come out of surgery without a fight. Yah, Josh. His front 3 teeth look wonderful and all the fillings are in. He had 8 fillings, all on his back molars which is the first time a dentist has even gotten that close to look. 2 of his molars needed the silver filings but weren't to bad to have the tooth pulled. Thank heavens. The other 6 molars were filed with white and the cavities were located in between, which the dentist said was normal especially for someone like Josh who doesn't do the flossing...I know a little bad on my part. But, the dentist did say his enamel was wonderful and I did a great job getting him to at least brush the ABC's 2X. (that is singing the ABC song twice while brushing). The dentist even called last night to make sure Josh was alright and gave me his cell if there were any problems or concern. Can you say Heaven sent...there are angels out there.

We also came home from a long stay at the hospial to find goodies and coloring pages for Josh from a dear sweet friend. It was wondeful.
