Medicine Saga - take 2

First....I have to thank the teachers/aides for helping with J yesterday and giving me a break. So today you get a break :)

Now...the sega!

A nurse from the GI doctor called yesterday and told me a little bit more of why the magic pill is taking so long to get approved. This medicine is quiet expensive. So the insurance butts heads about refilling it. When you need a second authorization from the doctor that generally means the insurance wants to know why the patient has to be on the medicine longer. They basically don't want to pay for it (this is before the great Pres. plan goes into effect...JOY!)

So the GI nurse sent every documentation about J and his condition...Results from test, colonoscapies...(sp) ets. They are trying a second time to see if with all this information the insurance will approve it...If not, the insurance will make us go 30 days to see if J's condition REALLY needs it. I told the nurse, that if he goes that long, he'll just end up in the hospital. She agreed, but her hands are tied when it comes to insurance. Holy....(I can only control my tongue for so much more!)

The sun is out, J is calm..maybe asleep...at least relaxing and "trumpeting".
