One Down, Two to Go.

Yesterday we had J's first of 3 doctor's appointments.  This was the one with the GI doctor.  J went in for the procedure at 11 and by 12 we were in our room.  Then the wait, they couldn't get J to sleep (are we surprised a this) until 1 which then the GI doctor was doing another procedure.  So we waiting again.  We had the same nurse, so she knew all the whistles and bells about J.  But the other nurse, who was helping with the GI doctor, would come in with her loud voice and ask if J was sleeping.  I finally said that she might want to use her quiet voice if she wanted J to not wake up.  DUH! With big decisions ahead, Dad and I wanted to make sure it wasn't something else in J's stomach that was causing the pain.  You know like, ulcers, stones...etc.  So I asked if he could do that type of examine.  Well, he wasn't going that way.  Bummer!  Literally (hahah)!
I just about sit down in the waiting room and they call me back.  Done already?  Nope, the GI doctor said that while J was out, why not check that way to just to make sure.  So J had both ends looked at.  FUN!
They called me back to the recovery room after about 20 minutes and within 10 J was awake.  Yes, he doesn't sleep that much.  Again...DUH!
Findings:
Nothing is wrong with his stomach, its all normal on the up side.
On the down side, he was very full of BM.  No shocker there!
Even with an enema at night and one again right before we left.
Recommendations:
Surgery!  The GI doctor said, it was the only answer.  He expressed how difficult it might be and what we are in for.  So he suggested to see the surgeon (appointment on Tuesday), schedule the surgery and get it on the calendar, then if Dad and I decide not to go through with it, we can always cancel.
Thoughts:
There are none...just numb...again!
