Frustrated can't explain what we are feeling! Tuesday night J stared running a high fever of 102.6 which meant no going home, dang it. Wednesday they wanted to do a ct scan to see if there had formed an absess in his belly and to also check what his lungs are doing, especially his left one. Wednesday night his fever came at the usual tome, but no as high. J got at least 3 hours of sleep which was actually more then he has the whole time he has been here. (that is without sedation) The ct scan came back normal with the exception of his Lungs. There is some fluid arou d the left, but the right seem to be getting a little better. So we waited, and waited. I finally had enough and called the nurse to see what the heck was going on. The nursing staff has really been wonderful. He took my frustration to e surgeons and they came back with no answers. They can't send J home with a fever, but haven't a clue what is causing this. Ahhhhhh!!!!!!!! This morning they finally came up with the plan of giving him another antibiotic to combat any bacteria that J might have contracted while here at the hospital. They might even attempt another (unthinkable) urine analysis. I told them that they would need to do it before his pull up needed changing. (they waited the last time and got nothing...duh!!! They have finally kept him on Tylenol for the fever and just about to start the new. Home seems not close enough.
