Drug Doctor

Yes, that's right folks...after a 3 month wait, we finally got in to see him!
What a joy and fun 15 minutes.
Yup, that's all he takes with J, 15 mintues, and refuses to go onto Medicaid which is killing us financially with all his little "trials" of pills.
He suggested some anxiety medicine he had prescribed before that didn't work.  Why he didn't just look in his notes to see what he had already tried...who knows...gum ball doctor!  Then he had the "balls" of wanting J to try some medicine that were in the same family as the Seroquel/Abilify...do we all remember what that did to J?  (NMS aka Dystonia)...oh HECK to the no!!!!! I mean seriously...he said, "well he only had dystonia once, he might not get it again..." WHAT?!!!! I mean every time we give the medication background up at our special hotel, they know to make a special band not to give him ANY meds in that family!!!!
After I about jumped out of my chair and told him there was no way in haka that I wanted to take a chance with my sons life just for a new anxiety med. He then prescribed something else.
We are going to try a new anxiety medicine, called...Valume (this should be interesting)
We take J off of his other anxiety meds and replace with this one.  Small doses of course, could it work, who the heck knows.
Then we (Dad and I both went) suggested that J needed another behavior med, because this one just doesn't have enough time to dissolve before it comes out into his bag whole.  That's right TMI!~
He suggested a couple, but with side effects that would probably cause some stomach discomfort.
NOT~
So for now we are just trying a new anxiety med...if that works, we'll chat again for 15 minutes in 3 months (joke) and decide what other behavior meds are available that won't hurt his stomach.
