ER X3

What a week~
J started feeling a little better after his brother's graduation.  That was until this past Tuesday.
(warning...this could be gross to some readers)
J stopped urinating.
Why...who knows.
So we took him up to the U around 6ish because it had been over 24 hours.
They were swamped up there.
They ran some blood work and did a straight cath to get a sample and "relieve" the poor boy.  We were in a pretty fun room.  Actually it was the room where convicts are usually kept.  J didn't mind.  We had the iPad and there were paper towels he counted and nicely placed on his bed.  Around 10, they let us go with no answers.
I called the doctor on Wednesday to see what she wanted us to do.  We didn't hear back from her until 4 again where she asked if J had been able to urinate...nope...so we decided to go to the new U facility closer to our home.  It was beautiful! They once again did a straight cath and also did an ultrasound of his kidneys and his bladder where they found an additional 600cc after he had just had 500cc drained.  Holy COW~
They also repeated some blood work.  All the blood work came back normal and his Urine showed a little off with his white count, so they started him on an antibiotic for a UTI.  Weird, men don't usually get these...welcome to J land!
I called the doctor again on Thursday and didn't hear anything til Friday morning where she again asked if J had urinated.  NOPE~! She called her office and they set us up with an Urologist for Monday and told us to go back to the ER to get a cath put in J until his appointment with the specialist...
What? a cath in J...we already have one gadget, we get to have another? How special are WE?!!!
Needless to say, Saturday went without a hitch.  He didn't complain or try to pull it out until today...SUNDAY!  It's a good thing tomorrow we will hopefully find some answers and get it out!
 All smiles
 Room where they put convicts!
That about sums up what was in the room~
